Danielle LaPlante is a visual artist and art educator. She received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and her MFA from Columbia University. Her work has been exhibited in group shows across the U.S., abroad, and online. She lives and works in Massachusetts.

For over 20 years, Danielle has explored the physical and ephemeral qualities of paper—first as a printmaker and, for the last decade, through collage. Her recent work interweaves handmade and found papers, cutting, layering, and piecing them together. She works surrounded by piles of paper, endlessly arranging and rearranging fragments in search of the unexpected. Through this process, she reflects on the beauty of fleeting moments and inevitability of change.
